A Summer Look For Any Skintone!

Hey Beauties and happy Friday! I hope all of you had an amazing week and great plans for the weekend.

Summer is a time when I love for my skin to breathe, but I also don’t want to look like a zombie. So, today’s look is just that and you can tweak the shades I used for this look and make it your own.

Before any makeup routine, I always cleanse and moisturize well so I’m sure to get off any dirt, oils, etc…

The main step of this routine is skin prepping because if you stick to a skincare routine everyday, overtime it will approve the appearance of your skin and you’ll be able to cut down on your makeup more and more.

So, here’s the look that we’ll be achieving today!

As you can see, it’s pretty simple and I usually like to focus my makeup on my eyes.

Face

Primer: Since I get oily in my T-zone, I like to apply a mattifying product. I am entirely in love with this Mattifying Hydrating Fluid by “Comfort Zone” because it keeps you matte all day without making your skin feel dry.

Foundation: Maybelline Matte and Poreless Foundation. I love this foundation as you all know because it’s great and so affordable. I only apply this to the areas that’s needed (cheeks, nose, a bit under my eyes and whatever is left on my brush, I just tap in to the rest of my face that really doesn’t need coverage.) I’m currently in the shade 310 Sun Beige.

Powder: I use the Maybelline Matte and Poreless Pressed Powder LIGHTLY on my face. I hate the cakey look for summer, but to each their own. I just personally don’t like it for me. With this powder, I’m in the shade 310 Sun Beige as well.

Bronzer: For bronzer, I love to use my Tarteist Pro To Go Palette because the shades “Crisp and Stylin” are perfect for a bronzer if you mix the two. It also smells so yummy like chocolate which I love!

Blush: I skipped blush for this look because I wanted to keep it pretty light and fresh and put all the focus on my eyes.

Highlighter: I didn’t go crazy with the highlighter. I applied the shade “Hype” from the same Tarteist Pro To Go palette VERY lightly on my cheekbones and I went a little heavier on the bridge of my nose.

Brows

I know, I know my brows look insane and all over the place, but I’m trying to grow them out so they’re even. But I just filled the tail of my brows and lightly on the front hairs using the shade “Stylin” from the Tarteist Pro To Go palette.

Eyes

Lid: I used the shade “Hype” all over my lid and with the lightest hand! I also brought this down into my inner tear duct so it could be more awoken!

Liquid Liner: I love the look of winged liner no matter if it’s day, night, winter, summer, etc… So of course I used my ELF Liquid Liner in “Black” and winged it a bit.

Mascara: I applied Lash Paradise by Loreal generously to give a nice full lash.

Lips

For my lips, I pretty much wiped away the product that got onto my lips and applied chapstick. After I did my hair, I applied a bit more chapstick and left my lips as is.

This look is super simple and make sure to remember that less is more when going for a Summer Look, but if you want to go all out with your makeup during Summer, then go right ahead. I think it still would look beautiful.

I also love the fact that the products used in this look won’t break the bank and don’t be afraid to venture out with your eyeshadow palettes on your face. It seriously does the job and looks fantastic!

I hope you all enjoyed today’s post! For today’s topic I decided to have it pertain to Summer!

Question: What is your favorite thing to do during the Summer?

My answer: I would have to say going to the beach with my family and just spending the day there. I also love that it gets darker way later so it gives us more time to have fun in the sun.

  1. I have to make sure I moisturize and use lots of sunscreen. During the summer I go to the theme parks alot. So I’m always out on the sun! Eye makeup is my favorite makeup. I can’t go without my eye shadow and eyeliner. You look beautiful. Great tips
