Friday’s Question #1

Hey beauties and happy Friday! I hope you all had an amazing week and an awesome 4th of July if you guys celebrated. On Monday, I’ll have a full 4th of July outfit of the day with all the details as well as a makeup and hair of the day! Definitely look out for that!

Today’s post is quite different than what I usually post, but I decided to give it a go. Today’s post, I would like to talk to you guys and involve you all more.

So, many of you are new to my blog and a warm welcome to all of you on being a part of our family! Don’t forget to follow for new posts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

A lot has changed in my life and I can finally say I’m happy. I got rid of toxic people in my life and although it wasn’t the easiest thing to do, it made my family and I stronger which I always love. I also learned to appreciate the simple things. That is basically like appreciating nature, a cup of coffee, getting a new makeup item, etc… Appreciating little things has not only made me genuinely happy, but it also has a great effect on me because I can now focus on my blog.

I want to do a new series on my blog that involves all of my followers. So, basically every Friday, we’ll have a main topic that’s either chosen by you guys or me and we’ll chat in the comment section. I think this would be a great way for us to chat and you to connect with other bloggers.

So, today’s topic is something general and let’s kick it off with a makeup topic.

If you could choose only two makeup items to rock for the rest of the year, what would it be?

My answer: I would choose my Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and My Loreal Lash Paradise Mascara!

This concludes today’s blog post! Make sure to leave a comment below with your answers!

    1. I wish I could use Lancome foundations. I’m not to sure what it is about them, but they break me out so bad which sucks. I love the idea of a deep pink or red because it just makes any look seem more put together. What’s your favorite red lipstick?

    1. I’m glad you like the idea. I believe there are so many great bloggers and it’s a great way for different bloggers to get to know eachother aside from the regular blog posts. You just reminded me that I need to give that mascara a try! Do you think it gives more volume or length? I’ve never heard of glossier stretch concealer. Where can you purchase it?

      1. I just started using Snapscara about a week or so ago, and I really like it! I’d say it gives greater length & separation than volume. You can certainly build it up to be more dramatic, so I like how it’s a bit customizable. But if you want feathery lashes, Snapscara is great!

You can only buy Glossier products from their main website (glossier.com). Stretch is a great option if you want a concealer that can double as a tinted moisturizer! It’s really emollient and glossy. Totally not a full cover concealer though, so if you want loads of coverage it’s probably not the best option.

      2. I just looked up the Glossier products and I think I’m in love!! They have such cute and simple packaging. The mascara sounds lovely. Whenever I visit my local drugstore, I’ll have to check it out. Maybelline never seems to fail.

      3. I love the Glossier packaging too! I think that’s half the reason they’re so successful 😉. Yes, Maybelline has some awesome mascaras, don’t they? This one comes in a lot of different colors, but I choose classic black every time!

    1. When they first came out with that brand when I worked at Ulta, I thought that was such a genius thing to do because they have a dupe for a lot of the popular high end makeup brands. They’re pretty decent too, I just didn’t enjoy their glosses because they’re a bit to sticky.

  1. My bare minerals foundation and too Faced Peach setting powder! I have vowed that those two items are going to be forever items for me anyways lol I don’t think I’ll try any other foundations or setting powders again!

    1. Which bare minerals foundation? I’ve tried their tinted moisturizer and the serum foundation and absolutely loved both. I love how natural bare minerals looks on the skin. I wish Too Faced came out with strawberry scented products. I heard great things about the setting powder, but I can’t stand the smell of peach scents although I love the fruit lol.

      1. It’s their original matte loose powder foundation! I agree, it feels so light on the skin too, I sometimes forget I’m even wearing anything! And I’ve really noticed my skin improving since using it too! I can agree with that, or unscented things? I know it’s fun and cute, but it’s honestly not necessary to have scented eyeshadows, for example! My sense of smell isnt too sensitive, so once it’s on my skin I don’t notice it throughout the day.

      2. Those are amazing! The brush that bare minerals made for the loose powders is what I use everyday for my foundation. Lol. I used to use their loose foundation, but then I got a tan haha. When I smelled the peach palette in the store I almost threw up, but then again I was pregnant with my son. Lol. I’ll have to give it a smell again because the colors and formulas they came out with for that line looks amazing from what I’ve been seeing on YouTube.

      3. Yes! I have to mix two different shades of bare minerals foundation in the summer time lol I love the Sweet Peach eyeshadow palette! To me it doesn’t smell as strong as the powder, maybe because it gets aired out more when using it? Lol

      4. That’s true! I have a Tarte palette that smells like chocolate which I’m so obsessed with, but the only time I smell the chocolate scent now is when I apply a shadow with my finger lol. Maybe it does fade over time

    1. I agree 100% about their polishes. Have you ever tried a brand called Zoya? It’s one of my favorites and they have such beautiful colors. I’m actually on Ebay right now and you’re right. I love the fact that I’m able to find limited Edition palettes and stuff. That’s really cool!

      1. I completely agree! 🙂 what’s your favorite foundation aside from Chanel? I’ve heard great feedback on the NARS and Dior one. They both have really pretty finishes…not to Matte and not to dewy

      2. Have you tried the IT cosmetics CC cream? It’s great because it gives amazing coverage without drying out your skin and plus it has amazing skin benefits behind it. It’s one of my favorite high end makeup brands because all their products are AMAZING

      3. I’m trying to do the same as well. I have an eyeshadow palette addiction because I’m a sucker for packaging and it’s caused me to have a drawer full of them. Maybe some women just have a makeup addiction. Haha

      6. Sometimes I wish for the cold because of all the cute clothing and shoes that I would be able to wear. I wish to visit the UK one day, I think it’d be awesome! Being in the 40s doesn’t stop you from wearing makeup which I think is awesome

      7. No it helps with my confidence and you don’t wish for the cold as the windchill can be extreme sometimes here in winter but I love dressing up at that that time of year

      8. Although it’s really busy there, they make sure to have room and access for wheelchairs, strollers, etc… last year during winter time, my daughter was in a stroller and there was no trouble with me getting around. I also found that the subways and trains have elevators as well which is awesome! 🙂

    1. Revolution has pretty cool dupes. I really enjoy their highlighters. I’ve never tried purchasing makeup products on ebay, but I’m sure you’d find pretty cool finds. I have purchased makeup off amazon and they weren’t badly priced for the quality.
