Our Not So Traditional Valentines Day & 4 Classic Drugstore Products I’m Loving

Hey Beauties and happy Saturday! I know I don’t usually post on Saturdays, but I didn’t post yesterday and I seriously have no excuse sooooooo I thought I’d give you guys a surprise post today!

This New Year, I’ve been trying to change around my makeup routine. I’ve been wearing more mascara and less liquid liner, but of course some days I have to rock the winged liner because that’s a look that I won’t stop loving. I’ve also stopped bronzing because my bronzer shattered in a million pieces and they discontinued that particular bronzer which is the Rimmell one and I’m so sad! If you have any bronzer suggestions, please let me know in the comments. I’ve also been trying to ditch foundation completely, not because I hate it, but I’ve just been getting enough coverage with just a pressed powder. Because of this, I’ve grown to love some products more than others and I decided to share it with you all of course!

1. Maybelline Matte and Poreless Pressed Powder

I absolutely love this powder because I’ve been using it for so long and the shade is spot on which is so hard for me to find! I get tan quickly and I also lose my tan very quickly, so I’m always in between shades which can be quite complicated sometimes. I also love this powder because I have large pores around my cheek area and this helps them appear smaller which is always nice.

2. Loreal Lash Paradise Mascara

I love the Better Than Sex mascara as you all know, but this mascara is for a fraction of the price and I swear it’s the same formula, or at least it seems to be the same. I love drugstore products for that reason…affordable and good quality.

3. Milani Baked Blushes

I can’t emphasize how much I love these blushes. It’s so cheap, pigmented and she came out with some really beautiful shades! A little goes a long way and the “Luminoso” blush gives you such a beautiful glow which is so nice!

4. EOS Lip Balms

I know this one is weird, but I had an obsession with these EOS Lip Balms and I think that obsession came back. Haha. The scents they are coming out with is so yummy and I love that the EOS is shaped like a ball because it’s easier to find. It’s also a forced staple to have in my bag because that’s the only chapstick my daughter will use.

Have you tried any of these products? What are some classic drugstore products that you’ve been loving for a long time?

Now, let’s get into a recap of our Not so traditional Valentines Day!

We started our morning off with a ton of cuddles from the kids and I couldn’t be any happier. Haha they ate breakfast and we dressed them pretty cute for pictures that turned out pretty silly. At their ages (1 & 3) it’s easier to just take videos of them.

We did some grocery shopping and that was a terrible idea because there was so much people out which we should’ve known, but we survived so it’s ok haha.

Our daughter has an obsession with cake pops and my son ended up having a slight obsession so we took a small drive to Starbucks to get cake pops and of course a caffeine fix! The lady that took our order was the sweetest and told us that it was happy hour so the drinks were buy one get one free!!! So she gave us 2 caramel macchiatos which were so sweet and yummy. When were dating we would also have Starbucks dates so naturally we would take pictures haha.

We came home so we weren’t in rush hour traffic Haha. Later on that night we ate burgers at Colombian Burger. If you’re ever in Orlando, you MUST try this place. When they first opened my husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) put a dollar on the ceiling with our names on it. This was one of the places we loved going on dates to because the taste of their burgers NEVER gets old. Many years later, we still get excited to see our dollar on the ceiling!

I guess you can say we took a walk down memory lane for Valentines day, but I swear it’s never intentional. What did you guys do on Valentines day? Let me know in the comments!
