Product Review + Makeup Look ft. Huda Beauty Matte and Metal Melted Double Ended Eyeshadow

Hey Beauties and happy Valentines day!!! I figured it would be a great day to share my thoughts on the new Huda Beauty Melted Double Ended Eyeshadows along with a makeup look using it!

Price Point

So, Huda Beauty came out with 5 Double Ended Eyeshadows. Each of them are sold for $25 which is an ok price point in my opinion because this will last you really long and it’ll save you from carrying eyeshadow palettes when traveling.

Names & Swatches

Below is the name for each duo, a little description and swatches of them that I used from her website. I’ll be reviewing the Private Jet & Shimmering Sunset duo today.

1. Bubble Bath & Pink Champagne – A timeless combination of a dusty pink matte and a silvery pink glitter.

Matte & Metal Melted Shadows 2. Hot Sauce & Cherry Soda – This saffron-inspired red matte looks amazing alone and pairs perfectly with a layer of the most seductive, silvery-red glitter topper. Matte & Metal Melted Shadows

3. Silk Bomber & Bubblegum – A daring fuchsia matte and duo-chrome purple glitter bring all the bad girl attitude.

5. Faux Fur & Bamboo Hoops – This stunning peachy matte is subtle but sexy and completely mesmerizing when paired with the oyster-gold glitters.

The packaging is so sleek and cute. I love that you have a peek of the colors that’ll be inside because it makes it easier to grab whatever color you want for the day. I’m also obsessed with the ombre packaging as well. Super cute Huda!

Formula & Pigmentation

The pigments of these melted eyeshadows are amazing. The Matte side has a formula that’s almost like liquid lipstick…it goes on wet and dries super quick. I love that it’s blendable, but make sure you blend it out quickly before it sets. The pigmentation of the matte side is insane! I think she did a flawless job on the Matte side. The Metallic side is gorgeous shade-wise. I love that the light picks up the glitters well, but after you apply it and it sets, it turns patchy and flaky which sucks. I even tried mixing the formula with the applicator and it didn’t seem to help.

The applicators are amazing on both ends. I love that the applicator on the metallic side allows you to apply this on your lids precisely. You can also use this applicator to create a beautiful winged out Liner look as well which I’m all about. The applicator on the Matte side is amazing too because you can create a precise cut crease because the wand is shaped so perfect.

My Thoughts & Rating

My final thoughts on this double ended melted eyeshadows is that Huda came up with an amazing concept that is so convenient, but the product needs perfecting. I have no complaints with the packaging, price point, applicators or the Matte end, but the metallic ends formula isn’t fully there. I wish it wasn’t so flaky and patchy when it’s applied. I am entirely in love with the shades and names she came up with to pair them with because it all sounds so classy and high-end. All in all, I would give this a 7/10 because it isn’t terrible at all. I just wish the metallic end was perfected a little more because I LOVE glitter and shimmer.

Products Used

  • Lip Balm: EOS in Honey Apple
  • Lipstick: I used “Private Jet” and topped it with a bit of “Shimmering Sunset” on top.

    1. My eyelids tend to get slightly oily, but this is more of like a matte liquid lipstick on your eyelid. It leaves your lid feeling tight, but the formula doesn’t budge or crease. The only thing I dislike is the metallic side because the color is beautiful, but the formula is patchy. It looks like if you applied a cheap, glittery shadow on your lids as my husband says. Haha. Gel shadows is something I stay away from because of the formulation. It also leaves my lids oily.

    1. Thank you so much. One thing with my blog is I’m always fully honest. I don’t care if it’s sponsored or not. It also gives the company a chance to fix a few things with their product so they can also be successful. Have a great day💕
