I Tried Jeanie Hair Extensions For The First Time + My Thoughts

Hey Beauties and happy Thursday!

Today, I have a very special post and it’s a little different than what I typically post about.

This is the first hair extension post on my blog!!

Hair extensions are a fun way to try a new hair color without being obligated to keep that color. It’s also a great way to add length and thickness to your hair as well.

Today I’ll be reviewing Jeanie’s hair extensions in the shade “Chic”. Before I begin, let me go ahead and answer a few questions you may have or want to know.

A little background of my hair

For starters, my hair is super thick and I have tons of baby hairs. I have wavy/curly hair and my natural hair color is a dark brown. In the sun, my natural hair color is a beautiful golden brown color and that’s the color I wanted to have all the time. So, I died my hair a golden, chestnut brown. When I picked the color for my Jeanie Hair Extensions, I went for the same color that I usually dye my hair.

Why Jeanie Hair Extensions over the other brands?

I chose Jeanie Hair Extensions because as you all know, I don’t like to follow the hype. Bellami hair extensions is beautiful don’t get me wrong, but I wanted to give Jeanie Hair Extensions a shot. To top it off, Jeanie Hair extensions is about $80 less which is a lot of money to save especially after the holidays. I also read reviews on Bellami Hair Extensions tangling while wearing them and they shed. I washed Jeanie Hair Extensions multiple times already and they haven’t shed. They also dont get tangled in my hair or I wouldn’t wear them at all.

What kind of hair is used for these extensions?

Jeanie Hair Extensions uses human hair which is awesome because I have two kids and time is not really on my side most of the time. Being that this is human hair, I can wash it with my usual shampoo and conditioner and I can apply heat to these extensions without damaging it. You can even be a little creative and dye these hair extensions or add highlights to them and the best part is it wouldn’t shed because it’s made with 100% human hair. I’ll insert a picture of an example of the “Chic” hair extensions with highlights below.

This is the greatest part to me because I can actually rock a look with highlights and not damage my hair!!

How do I put these extensions in?

This is a part that I was very worried about, but it’s actually super easy. You section off a piece of your hair to find the part you’d like to add the extension, there are 3 clips to secure and you place the band under your hair like a headband to ensure it’s secured! You can actually visit Jeanie Hair on YouTube where she has tutorials on how to install your hair extensions. After the first try, you’ll feel like a pro.

How does it feel when you put it on?

Being someone that has never tried extensions until now, I thought extensions would pull my hair. These extensions feel like it isn’t even there. It’s so comfortable, painless and looks so good!

How does it feel when the hair extensions come off?

My thoughts were the hair extensions would rip my hair out when it came out, but I was proven wrong with these. They are so easy to come out and they don’t tangle so it doesn’t pull at your hair.

Are these sold in stores or online?

Jeanie Hair Extensions are sold online only until further notice. You can visit http://jeaniehair.com to check out all the colors and styles they offer.

Any discounts?

Actually, Jeanie Hair is offering a discount when you use “HNY25” before checking out.

My final thoughts?

Coming from a person who always wanted to try extensions, but was too scared to do so, I love these hair extensions. It gave me a different outlook on hair extensions. I love that I could try different colors, highlights, ombre, etc… without being stuck with the color. It’s very easy to put in and take off and you don’t have to spend tons of money to have beautiful, model hair!

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post! Have you ever tried Jeanie’s hair before? What are your thoughts on them? Let me know in the comments below! Also, be on the lookout for a before Jeanie Hair Extension and After Jeanie Hair Extension look!!
