Thanksgiving Makeup & Outfit Tips

Hey Beauties and happy Wednesday!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I’m so excited! Pumpkin Pie, Baked chicken, delicious salad, macaroni and cheese, etc… It’s going to be a great day!

Just a heads up, I won’t be posting anything tomorrow, but my posts will resume on Friday!! Thanks in advance for understanding. ♥️

Many of you may already have your outfits planned whether It’s a casual or a more dressy outfit. I bet it looks great! If you didn’t get your outfits planned out yet, I have a few tips on some things to keep in mind when planning your outfits for tomorrow!

Tip 1: Food = Food Baby

If you aren’t familiar with the term “Food Baby” then let me explain. It’s when you have a belly that looks like your carrying a baby, but it’s really because you ate wayyyy too much food! So, to go along with this, I recommend picking a roomy top or dress since you’ll be eating a ton of food!

Tip 2: Accesorize

It’s great to be comfy on Thanksgiving and you can definitely still be comfy and also look cute as well. Add a cute chunky necklace, a cute bracelet, a statement ring or cute earrings. It’ll look adorable in pictures and it’s a great conversation starter.

Tip 3: Comfy Shoes

If one of your traditions for Thanksgiving is catching all of the Black Friday sales, then make sure to wear comfy shoes or bring an extra change of shoes. Booth with a chunky, low heel is a great option as it’s cute, comfy and warm. Another shoe choice that I love are flats. It’s cute, flat and comfy.

Tip 4: Cardigans and Blazers

Cardigans and blazers are a great addition to any outfit. If you want an easy and comfy way to look cute, then add a cardigan or blazer to your outfit.

Now, that we have some tips for your Thanksgiving Outfits, let’s move on to my favorite part…The Makeup!!

Tip 1: Cheese On Three

This is the most important tip for any event that involves cameras. Have you ever seen pictures where a person looks like a ghost?! I have. It has happened to me before. A great tip to prevent this is to stay away from products with SPF because it contains an ingredient called “Titanium Dioxide” which creates a ghost-like cast over your face. Another ingredient to stay away from would be “Silica” because it also creates a cast over your face. Silica makes your skin appear smooth and blurred, but once in front of a flash, it looks like your worst enemy.

Tip 2: Fall Colors & A Little Gold

For Thanksgiving, I love makeup looks that involve a beautiful shimmery gold and burnt oranges and reds. It looks absolutely gorgeous on all eye colors. Even if you’re not a pro at makeup, a little golden eyeshadow on your inner corners makes a big difference. It’s eye-catching and catches light well.

Tip 3: Bullet Proof Lipstick

With a lot of food comes really good lipstick! I personally hate reapplying lipstick and who loves their lipstick transferring onto their wine glass? Not me! I recommend Maybelline’s Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick because the colors are gorgeous and most importantly, the formula is amazing! Another Brand I recommend is the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks. This particular formula takes a little longer to dry, but when it’s dry, it doesn’t budge at all. Last but not least, I love the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks. I recommend lining with a lip liner first, and then going in with this Too Faced lippy.

Tip 4: Set And Forget

A gorgeous makeup look isn’t gorgeous if it’s smudged or melting off halfway through the day. This brings me to the tip of setting and forgetting. Apply your powder and setting spray to ensure your makeup is set and gorgeous!
