Face Mask Friday Review: L’oréal Yuzu Lemon Mask

Hey Beauties! Happy Friday! It’s time to kick off the weekend with a relaxing face mask!

Every Friday I’ll try to post a Face Mask Friday Review or a DIY Face Mask because who doesn’t love face masks?! 🙂

As you can already tell from the title, I’ll be reviewing the Yuzu Lemon Mask by L’oréal. It retails for only $12.99 for a 1.7 ounce.

Well, first let’s get into the answers to some questions that both you and I had!!

1. What Is A Yuzu Lemon?

I had to Google this as well. So it’s pretty much a lemon that came from Central China and moved to Japan and Korea. Later on it turned into a skincare ingredient. It has a very tart taste and very strong smell.

2. What Are The Benefits Of A Yuzu Lemon?

  • Antioxidant
  • Anti-Aging
  • The seed extract of the Yuzu Lemon helps thicken the epidermis (top layer of skin)
  • Softens skin overtime
  • Lightens dark spots

Ok, let’s get into the awaited review!!

This face mask smells so good. It has a citrus scent that instantly wakes you up. If you’re like me, someone who loves the citrus smell, then go and get this!! If you don’t like citrus scents, then you can definitely skip on this one.

The texture of this face mask has a very gritty feel to it. It’s almost as if your rubbing sugar between your fingers. As I was rubbing the face mask on, it felt like it was exfoliating gently. So, be sure when you apply this face mask to be gentle.

Here’s how the mask looks when it’s on…

To take off the mask, I put a little bit of warm water in my hands and gently worked the mask in circular motions. It lathered up like a face wash and the sugars seemed to dissolve. After washing the mask off completely I noticed my skin felt a lot softer. The look of my pores remained the same.

Pros:

  • Smells good
  • Exfoliates well
  • Gentle on skin
  • Affordable

Cons:

  • It comes in a jar (use a spoon for sanitary purposes)
  • Doesn’t shrink pores

Verdict:

This mask is pretty good. It definitely woke me up because of the citrus scent. I loved how it had a gentle exfoliator in it too. The results of my face mask was softer skin which is always nice. As far as shrinking my pores, it didn’t really shrink it. I would purchase this mask again for the fact that it made my skin feel nice.

Hope you guys enjoyed this review! Have you ever tried this mask? What are your thoughts on it?
