How to: Get Your Makeup Done In Under 10 Minutes

Hey Beauties! It’s Wednesday and you know what that means?!?!?! WE’RE HALFWAY THROUGH THE WEEK!!!! Yayyyyyyy!

So today I wanted to share some tips that have helped me TREMENDOUSLY! I’m a mommy of 2 (a 3 year old and a teething 10 month old). I had to figure out something quick because I would have a toddler screaming for me and the other little one pulling at my leg. Comment below if you can relate to this. Lol

Ok, let’s get into these tips!!!

1. Skincare

No matter what, skincare is key to cutting down your makeup. Invest in a really good Moisturizer, Serum, and eye cream. Check out my Updated Skincare Routine if you need some suggestions.

2. Medium-Full Coverage Foundation

I don’t use concealer. 😯 I know! Shocker! I use Medium-Full coverage foundations. With that kind of coverage, I don’t find myself needing concealer after. I use the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. It saves a lot of time because blending foundation and concealer is like 4 minutes! This foundation blends super fast which is a plus! I also have a review on this foundation so Click Here to check it out!

3. Say No To Contour

If you can contour quick, then go for it. I like to skip contouring and just go for bronzing. It brings color to the face and once again it’s more forgiving then contour.

4. Brush Is Key

When applying eyeshadow, make sure to use a fluffy brush. It’s way more forgiving and it blends way faster. I always apply a shadow that’s a couple shades darker then my skin color and apply it to the crease. Then I take a shimmery champagne color on my lid and inner tear duct. It looks like I took a while, but it takes seconds!! It also adds depth to my eyes.

5. Skip The Wing

I LOVE winged liner. Sometimes when I’m pressed on time, I just skip it. There are other ways to add shape to your eye so it’s ok…skip it.

6. Mascara Is Our Bestie!

Ok, since you saved tons of time from skipping your fierce wing, go ahead and add a couple coats of mascara to brighten up those gorgeous eyes.

7. Tightline

Tightline? What’s that? Well a tightline is basically your upper waterline. Tightlining makes your lashes look super full and defined so it brings a little extra depth to your eyes.

8. Add Color!

Swipe a gorgeous rosey color on those cheeks and add a tinted lip balm to your lips. It’ll moisturize and add color which is a double plus when you’re in a rush.

9. Tinted Brow Gel

These are the best thing ever. It adds a little tint and defines while holding those hairs in place.

10. Set And Forget

Dust some powder and add setting spray if needed. This ensures everything is tied well. It also gives you one last chance to blend your mistakes.

11. Take On The Day

You look good and now it’s time to take on this day! Nobody will even know you took less than 10 minutes to get your makeup done!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! What’s your favorite makeup tricks when you’re in a rush?!

    1. Aww thanks for stopping by! It took me a while to learn that skincare is key. Once I hit 20 is when I took skincare serious. It makes a huge difference! What’s one of your favorite skincare brands?

      1. Me too! I never really knew what worked best for my skin, but now I love the Liz Earle brand – as well as Garnier. Most of the time, though, I tend to just buy witch hazel products from Boots as they work well on preventing blemishes.

      2. Liz Earle is great. I received a sample from Sephora and I loved the light, whipped feel of it! Garnier is great as well! I love their masks. They’re hair products are great as well…so yummy smelling! Witch hazel is what I used in high school to soothe my acne. It really does work! Right now I’m really loving the “Youth to the people” brand. It’s more on the natural side and great for my sensitive skin

      3. Yes I love the creaminess of the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser. It also works well on my skin, as some products can cause it to become oily. I will have to have a look at that brand, do you know if it is available in the UK? I have quite sensitive skin sometimes, so it may be worth trying for myself!
